I Must Have A Lego Darth Vader

By Petro Beens

Another year has almost completely passed us. I do not believe just how fast this year is moving. I was baby sitting for my sister, the other day, and my nephew told me "I want a Lego Darth Vader!" "What is that?", I questioned. Well, he was more than happy to let me know.

"Gosh, Aunt Felicia, how can you not know what that is?" I was feeling stupid. "It is something I have wanted my whole life!" His whole life? He was only four years old. But, for his young age, he sure knew a bunch about this subject! He was gearing up to give me the most important item on his Christmas list.

"Do you not watch the Star Wars movies?", he queried. Sure, I have watched them. But, was I going to keep up with the amount of toys manufactured from the movie? I meekly listened as he delivered to me the definition of his desire.

"I have a ship that started my collection. Momma got it for me as a birthday present. I keep it in my room and have waited and waited to get what goes with it." I remember the ship. I thought he was too young to have it.

"I have been hoping Santa would bring a few of the action figures for me for Christmas! I have tried to be a very good boy and momma told me I have been good!" My mind was thinking of when I could purchase these for him.

"I would love to have Count Dooku and Boba Fett. The Boba Fett has his own weapon! It would be great to have this for my collection. I would have so much fun when Aaron comes to play!" I could not deny his desire.

I am eager to see the look upon her face, Christmas morning, when she opens her gift. I am sure the cost will be worth the while. Nothing brings more happiness that the smile on a child's face. - 30320
