Clone Trooper Helmet - Are You Ready To Be A Member Of Vader's Finest ?

By Ledley Withenshaw

Most folks have heard about Star Wars. It's been going since George Lucas put out the first (err...fourth chronologically speaking) movie in'77. That's 32 years ago ! And the story/mythology seems to be going from strength to strength as new movies, books, cartoon, TV series and video games come out. I wonder who makes up all these stories and whether they have to be sanctioned by Lucas before hand.

All that can be said is that the creators of Star Wars have a very good imagination. A relatively new piece of merchandise that accompanies the Star Wars tales is the Clone Trooper Voice changer helmet. This is really made for kids to role play their favorite scenes from the Star Wars movies or Clone Wars TV series. Or they can create their own adventures.

The clone trooper helmet is a good replica of the helmets used by clone troopers in the Star Wars movies and the TV series that focused on the Clone wars as their central theme.

The clone wars were basically the start of the end for the republic and the creation of the empire under Palpatine. It was probably the most significant event in the history of the Star Wars galaxy (that we know about anyway). It heralded the destruction of the legendary and influential Jedi Knights and saw the Sith take control of the empire. Things would never be the same until an insignificant young moisture farmer from Tatooine blows up a not so insignificant Death Star (and discovers a few family home truths along the way).

Clones were used to fight in the clone wars after they had been secretly produced from the DNA of mercenary Jango Fett. For children interested in role playing in these clone wars as an imperial stormtrooper, there are a few different types of helmet.

The standard helmet is an all white affair, with a shaded visor. In terms of voice changing, it modulates the wearers voice to make it sound clone like, metallic or robotic with a bit of static before or after the voice (picture a clone speaking in the movies). There are also many standard phrases in authentic clone voices that can be emitted from the helmet by pushing a few buttons.

Kids will love to put the helmet on and pretend to by attacking Count Dooku or some other villain. Or maybe they can pretend to do Darth Vader's bidding and destroy the Jedis. Let their imagination run wild.

There are other types of helmets that have slight modifications to the original helmet. Notably the 501st Legion clone trooper is a crack, top of the line stormtrooper. Their helmets have a slightly different shape and a blue trim to them. They have a standard set of phrases too. Captain Rex was a famous commander in the Legion and sported a red trimmed helmet.
